Art creates space and a way to connect, deepening our relationships with self, environment and each other. It can be transformational.

Filmmaker and Visual Designer Josephine Jay met with skilled craftspeople throughout Albany and surrounds, producing a film to celebrate and acknowledge the works of our local makers.

In August 2026 she launched In The Making at Albany Town Hall, supported by City of Albany amidst music and displays of art and crafts. Within this Tuesday Curatorial, Josephine will share her experiences of producing and presenting the documentary, and talk about links between creativity and environment.

The film features Torbay Glass, Gary Tonkin, Sally C Australia, Meagan Gardiner, Sue Codee, Eddy Jay, Brig Amity Carpenter Pieter van der Brugge, The Luthier's Emporium, Jonathan Hook Ceramics, Diana Henderson Artist and more.
