Discover more about the important nocturnal marsupials, Potoroos.

Potoroos are small marsupials native to Australia, closely related to kangaroos and wallabies with some threatened species among some of the rarest mammals in the world.

They play an important role in the ecosystem in helping disperse seeds in the soil through their digging throughout key phases of plant growth.

Learn more about them and how we can protect and encourage their population growth.

Presented by Dr. Tony Friend, Research Associate Biodiversity & Conservation Science Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA).
