Join us at the WA Maritime Museum this World Oceans Day for a special screening of Ocean with David Attenborough—a breathtaking exploration of the vital, vibrant life that fills our seas—showing why healthy oceans are essential to the survival of our planet.
Thanks to the generous support of Minderoo Pictures and the International Congress of Maritime Museums (ICMM) ocean sustainability committee, over 20 maritime museums worldwide—from Hong Kong to Finland—are marking this year’s World Oceans Day with free screenings of Ocean With David Attenborough.
Through stunning footage of coral reefs, kelp forests, and the open ocean, Attenborough shares his lifelong passion for ocean discovery while revealing the urgent challenges our oceans face—from destructive fishing to coral bleaching. But this is a story of hope, highlighting inspiring global efforts that prove our oceans can heal and thrive again.
The film supports and raises public awareness of the challenges facing ocean environments and fisheries management within the aims of the UN Millennium Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water—Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas, and marine resources for sustainable development.
Don’t miss this immersive and eye-opening film that will deepen your connection to the world beneath the waves—and inspire you to protect it.
Ocean with David Attenborough is a Silverback Films and Open Planet Studios co-production, in association with All3Media International, National Geographic, and Minderoo Pictures.
