Museum of Geraldton temporary closure for essential maintenance

The Museum of Geraldton will be temporary closing for two weeks in May and two weeks in June for essential maintenance works.

The first closure is from Monday 18 May to Friday 29 May 2026, reopening on Saturday 30 May, in time for the WA Day festival on Monday 1 June.

The second closure will be from Monday 15 to Friday 26 June reopening on Saturday 27 June 2026, in time for the school holidays.

Our current temporary exhibition Reception this way will close a week earlier than previously advertised, on Sunday 17 May.

Visitors will be able to continue to enjoy our community exhibition Journeys of Belonging, a powerful and moving portrait exhibition by Geraldton’s Housing First Support Services (HFSS) sharing stories of homelessness in Geraldton, when the Museum reopens on 30 May.

We appreciate the community’s understanding during this time. These important works will help ensure the Museum of Geraldton can continue to play a vital role in the Geraldton and Mid-West community for years to come.
