In 2025, the monumental state-wide annual art market and exhibition Revealed: New and Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists returns to Boorloo/Perth featuring works from more than 400 artists – presented by the Aboriginal Art Centre Hub Western Australia (AACHWA), in collaboration with the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) and the WA Museum – from 11 April to 15 June 2025.
For its 17th year, after nearly one decade, Revealed returns to the state’s CBD, enveloping Perth’s Cultural Centre for Australia’s most significant display of Western Australian Aboriginal art – comprising a free exhibition, art market and program of special events – across multiple art forms.
Spanning Western Australia’s sprawling country – including the Mid-West, South-West, Pilbara, Western Desert and Kimberley regions – Revealed brings together emerging and mid-career artists and displays the rich diversity and dynamism in Aboriginal art and cultures today.
Fostering an understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal art and its profound connection to Country through a contemporary lens, Revealed showcases independent artists alongside artists represented by some of the longest-running and most significant Aboriginal art centres in the country.
While amplifying the visibility of Aboriginal artists and nurturing new career pathways, Revealed is the state’s largest economic opportunity for Aboriginal artists and art centres to present and sell their works, with 100% of sales directly supporting the artists and their communities.
Since 2023, Revealed is proudly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led and governed, delivered under the custodianship of AACHWA – the peak advocacy and development body for Aboriginal art centres in WA. At the forefront of advocating for artists and communities, AACHWA shares their deep understanding and connection to the Aboriginal art community across the state.

Distinctively Western Australian, Revealed provides a platform for Aboriginal artists to celebrate their identity, share their stories and connect with new audiences.
On Saturday 12 April, for one day only, visitors will have the chance to buy art directly from artists and art centres as the Revealed Art Market arrives at the WA Museum Boola Bardip, in the heart of Perth’s Cultural Centre.
Revealed Art Market is a beloved community event that in 2025 brings together over 35 stalls for a bustling street-style art market, representing more than 20 Aboriginal art centres, as well as independent artists and industry representatives.
A vibrant cultural experience for the whole family, attendees will have the opportunity to sift through hundreds of artworks, speak to artists and representatives, learn about their work and culture, acquire art, and directly support the WA Aboriginal art community.
On hosting the Revealed Art Market, WA Museum CEO Alec Coles says: ‘We are thrilled to be hosting this year’s Revealed Art Market as part of Revealed returning to the Perth CBD. Giving Aboriginal artists the opportunity to showcase their work to new and diverse audiences is such an important part of Western Australia’s story, both past and present.
'To complement the art market, we will also be offering a range of social activities at Boola Bardip, including Nyumbi performances, live art demonstrations and tours of the Spinifex People: Art and stories from Pila Nguru exhibition.’
This year, the pre-eminent Revealed Exhibition is rehomed within PICA’s vast central gallery for the very first time. Featuring nearly 150 works by over 85 artists from across the state – with 47 exhibiting in Revealed for the very first time – the exhibition is a remarkable and important survey of Aboriginal art today, on display from 12 April to 15 June.
Curated by Whadjuk, Ballardong and Wilman Noongar artist and curator Zali Morgan, participation in the exhibition is open to Aboriginal artists utilising any medium living in Western Australia, with the final selection of artworks made by a panel of independent industry professionals, consisting of Sharyn Egan, Debra Miller, Tyrown Waigana and Zali Morgan.
17 independent artists will join artists from more than 20 art centres to explore a diverse range of mediums specific to place. The exhibition features artworks spanning all art forms including painting, printmaking, drawing, carving, sculpture and weaving.

Artworks in the exhibition are available to purchase, with sales directly supporting Aboriginal artists, art centres and their communities.
