Sir David Attenborough's visit to the WA Museum

Prethopalpus attenboroughi was discovered and described by Queensland Museum Research Fellow Dr Barbara Baehr and WA Museum Head of Terrestrial Zoology Dr Mark Harvey. The tiny arachnid was named after eminent naturalist Sir David Attenborough.

On Saturday 4 August 2012, Sir David Attenborough visited the Western Australian Museum to receive a copy of the publication describing the spider, a mounted photo of the spider, and to meet the people who named this new species after him.
