This award is based on reviews and ratings from travellers over the past 12 months and celebrates the places people loved visiting, talking about and recommending to others.
It’s been a big year at Boola Bardip. The Museum won Major Tourist Attraction at the Tourism Council WA Awards for the third consecutive time, which also saw it enter the Tourism Hall of Fame.
Visitors have excitedly flooded through the doors for exhibitions, galleries, tours, school holiday activities, family programs and a closer look at Western Australia’s stories. Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor was a major drawcard, bringing ancient objects, digital experiences and the warriors themselves to Perth. It gave people a chance to connect with one of the world’s most famous archaeological discoveries, and they could not stop sharing love for their experience – both online and in person!
Our recent reviews have also had plenty to say about the people who work here, praising the Museum’s friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to help, answer a question, share a joke or offer a very specific fact you did not know you needed.
To everyone who visited, reviewed us, recommended us, or brought someone along for the first time, thank you. Your words help us learn, grow and reach more people every year.
