Join Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company for an immersive theatre experience created for young audiences that celebrates Noongar culture, language and storytelling.

Djinda Kaatijin (To Learn about the Stars) explores the significance of the stars in Aboriginal knowledge systems and reminds us to pause, look up, and reflect on the stories held within the night sky.

Through music, movement and narrative, audiences are invited to explore themes of imagination, creativity, identity and connection to Country in a way that is engaging, age-appropriate and culturally grounded. The production encourages young audiences to consider how the stars connect us to history, story and each other.

Presented by Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company, Western Australia’s leading Aboriginal theatre company, Djinda Kaatijin forms part of the company’s commitment to sharing First Nations stories on stage and creating accessible cultural learning experiences for schools and communities.
