Step into the silent majesty of Earth’s frozen frontiers.

Renowned Western Australian photographer and cinematographer Michael Haluwana presents Edge Of The Earth—a breathtaking exhibition capturing the raw beauty of the Arctic and Antarctic landscapes.

Through photography and immersive digital artwork, Haluwana invites viewers to witness the haunting stillness, vibrant light, and fragile power of the planet’s most remote regions.

Known for his work with National Geographic, Virgin Galactic, the BBC, and Sir David Attenborough, Haluwana’s lens reveals a world few have seen - luminous colossal icebergs with hidden ocean pools, ethereal aurora’s, wildlife thriving in extremes, and skies that stretch into eternity.

This exhibition is a visual symphony of nature’s resilience and grandeur, offering a rare glimpse into these phenomenal poles—where silence speaks volumes - the Arctic whispers with human presence and northern wildlife, the Antarctic resounds with the raw stillness of an uninhabited continent adrift in ice.

Michael Haluwana Headshot

Michael Haluwana is an internationally acclaimed cinematographer, photographer, and aerial videographer based in Perth, Western Australia, and the founder Aeroture, a creative studio that blends cutting-edge technology with artistic vision to produce immersive exhibitions and media projects. With over 20 years of experience, he specialises in capturing the natural world—wildlife, landscapes, and night skies—through breathtaking imagery and cinematic storytelling.

His work has been featured by National Geographic, the BBC, Virgin Galactic, and more. He’s contributed to major productions including Planet Earth II, Planet Earth III, and Oceans, collaborating with Sir David Attenborough to bring the wonders of nature to global audiences.

Michael’s passion for photography began in childhood in Sri Lanka, inspired by his father—a master diver—and the documentaries they watched together. That early love of nature and storytelling now fuels his mission to inspire environmental awareness and appreciation through visual art.

You can explore more about his work on Aeroture’s official site and social media.
