Explore the 50 colour and 50 monochrome prints from the PrintWest 2021 competition in this visually stunning new exhibition.
PrintWest is an annual interclub competition entered by Western Australian camera clubs which are members of the WA Photographic Federation.
It engages participation and social interaction between WAPF member clubs across Western Australia and promotes the value of the printed image.
Each club can enter a maximum of 15 digital images in each of the two categories, Colour and Monochrome (30 in total).
The digital images are scored by a panel of three judges, from which the top 50 images in each category are chosen. The top 50 images in each category are then printed and a second round of judging based on these prints is undertaken.
The winning clubs in each category are determined by the combined scores from the two rounds of judging.
The judges for this year’s event were all leading professional photographers: Mark Brierley, Lisa Ivandich, and Brian Kinson.
The results of PrintWest 2021 were announced at the WAPF annual gathering of camera clubs, PhotoWest, held at Northam in September.
The winning clubs were:
- Monochrome | Western Australia Underwater Photographic Society
- Colour | Western Australia Camera Club
- Overall | Western Australia Underwater Photographic Society
