Enjoy a photography, video and art exhibition showcasing the extraordinary natural landscapes, wildlife and culture of the Martuwarra Fitzroy River.

This exhibition boasts stunning photography from Western Australian photographers Damian Kelly and Adam Monk, showcasing one of the planet’s last remaining free-flowing wild rivers – the Martuwarra Fitzroy River. The photography illustrates the wonders of the Martuwarra as it carves around ancient landscapes, precious Aboriginal heritage, and brings life to people and nature in the Fitzroy Valley.

Martuwarra Traditional Owners have lived along the river for tens of thousands of years and share a deep spiritual connection to the Martuwarra, relying on its life-giving flows for food, recreation and livelihoods. Gain a unique insight into these incredible cultural values through the award-winning Voices of the River documentary mini-series on show in the exhibition.

A spectacular seven metre life-size sawfish art installation features to raise awareness of the remarkable array of wildlife the Martuwarra Fitzroy River supports, including the world’s most important population of the critically endangered freshwater sawfish.
