Join us these school holidays as we adventure through the cosmos into the night sky.

Discover the wonders of the night sky inspired by the Cosmic Echoes: A Shared Sky Indigenous Art Exhibition. From stargazing adventures to creative activities and celestial stories, there's something for explorers of all ages.

School holidays activities

These are drop-in activities running all day during opening hours, so families are welcome to join in anytime that suits.

Stargazer Tubes | Free
Ages 6+ 
Stargaze at any time of the day or night with this free craft activity from the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research, featuring iconic southern-sky constellations like Orion and the Southern Cross.

Cosmic Echoes colour-by-numbers | Free
All ages
Recreate one of the celestial artworks from the Cosmic Echoes exhibition with this colour-by-numbers activity from CSIRO and SKAO.

Museum Trail: Star Trail  | $1 per trail
All ages 
Eight Museum objects have been made into constellations! Can you find the clues hidden around each one to unscramble the name of our home galaxy?

NAIDOC scratch card animals | $1
All ages 
Designed by Wonnarua artist Kerri-Ann Taggart, each of these Australian animals has a grey outline that reveals shining NAIDOC-inspired colours when gently scratched away.


Participants aged 12 and under must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian.
All required materials are provided.
