Nella Fitzgerald Events and Celebrate WA present WA Day 2026 - a family friendly festival bursting with culture, music, colour, and fun.

The festival is a celebration of our Western Australian community and a time to come together to share our cultural diversity.

Special free activities are happening at the WA Shipwrecks Museum: 

  • 9.30am - 5pm | Italians in Fremantle Heritage Walking Trail
  • 11.30am and 2.30pm | Free highlights tour of the Museum galleries.
  • 11:30am - 4:30pm | Magical Unicorns on Shipwrecks Lawn, meet and capture a treasured photo of these rare creatures
  • 12.00pm - 4.00pm I Craft a kulbardi (magpie) mini-kite, enjoy colouring WA state emblems
  • 12.00pm – 1pm, 1.30pm – 2.30pm, 3pm-4pm | Mermaid Meet & Greet 
  • 12pm - 4pm | Magical Kingdom Princesses Meet & Greet 
  • 1pm-2pm | The Author, the Photographer and the Elusive Sea Captain talk event*
