Join community artists from the WA Watercolour Society for some workshops to extend your technique and abilities.

These experienced artists will share their passion for watercolours with you as they teach you some of the tricks and techniques to get success in your watercolours work. Why not take the challenge and join them for some workshop fun?

Focus On: Feather & Bird
Saturday 7 June | 10am - 3pm
Paint a feather from a real life and a bird from photos. This workshop will cover bird drawing theory, bird anatomy, feather group analysis, beak and feet drawings and watercolour painting techniques by demonstration. All levels are welcome.

Focus On: Flowering Mottlecar
Sunday 15 June | 10am - 1pm
Learn new approaches to watercolours by painting the spectacular Flowering Mottlecar. Students can learn by observing paintings of this sculptural plant, and enhance their own skills at drawing them.  Students will need to bring their own brushes and water bottles, but good quality watercolour paper will be supplied.

Focus On: Roses

Thursday 3 July | 10am - 1pm
You will learn how to draw a rose from painting samples. We will learn drawing perspectives and mixing colours, learn negative painting to reshape petals, and learn wet on wet on dry watercolour painting techniques. All materials provided, and by the end of the workshop you will have a piece of art to take home.
