Theresa Archer

Curator, Maritime Heritage

Theresa Archer has worked in Western Australian cultural organisations for over ten years, with a background in Western Australian (WA) social history and cultural heritage management and interpretation.

In addition to collection management, they enjoy creating exhibitions that critically engage with Australian historiography, by presenting new or lesser-heard perspectives, to reframe how we understand WA history and our collections.

With a focus on sharing stories and providing greater access to collections, Theresa has developed an interest in improving collections metadata, and the use of metadata standards in museums.
