National Science Week 2022 at the Museum of the Goldfields

The Museum of the Goldfields is hosting an exciting National Science Week (13 – 21 August) program that has a little something for everyone.

Join us to discover that science is about so much more than microscopes and Bunsen-Burners, come and join the fun, learn something new and discover what modern day science is all about.

 

Science After Dark

Date: Thursday 18 August 2022
Time: 5 – 7:30pm
Venue: Museum of the Goldfields
Cost: Free

Join us at the Museum of the Goldfields for our annual science fair that showcases what mining companies, the council and other organisations in the region are doing to encourage an interest in science among the public, and encourage children to be fascinated by the world we live in. Stay a little longer and enjoy dinner in our beautiful courtyard with food truck Fat Buddha and Gold Bean Coffee.

 

Science at the Shops

Date: Saturday 20 August
Time: 10am – 2pm
Venue: Hannans Boulevard Shopping Centre
Cost: Free

Participate in some science fun before doing your Saturday shopping. In collaboration with Inspiring Australia, join us for a series of enthralling activities that delve into the National Science Week 2022’s theme “Glass: More than meets the eye”. Visitors are invited to explore how light reacts when shining through different lenses and prisms, combining art with STEM activities.
