The Museum of the Great Southern is hosting an exciting National Science Week (13 – 21 August) program that has a little something for everyone.
Join us to discover that science is about so much more than microscopes and Bunsen-Burners, come and join the fun, learn something new and discover what modern day science is all about.
SCINEMA screenings

Presented by the Royal Institution of Australia, SCINEMA is an international science film festival providing a platform for professional, amateur and student filmmakers to showcase their science films, from drama to documentaries, animations, or epic natural history.
Biological Farming Systems Field Day

Venue: Windi Windi Pastoral, Mettler

Join RegenWA at Windi Windi Pastoral to learn about biological farming. Richard Davy will demonstrate how he has increased production capacity and restored biodiversity through his biological approach to farming through presentations, peer-to-peer discussions, and a farm tour.

Celebrate National Science Week 2022 as we bring together local grower groups and farmers to discuss regenerative agriculture and biodiversity restoration. This event will feature a presentation on biodiversity from the esteemed regenerative agriculture advocate, Dr Charles Massy, author of Call of the Reed Warbler, followed by an insightful panel discussion.
