Ignite your imagination and dive into the world of storytelling through sound with GarageBand.
With recording devices in hand, capture the intricate symphony of everyday sounds—from the rustle of leaves to the whispers of ancient artefacts. Led by local musician Felicity Groom, young sound adventurers will blend these captured sounds into an ambient musical masterpiece to tell a captivating story.
Join us for a unique adventure that fosters creativity, sharpens technical skills and cultivates an appreciation for the art of storytelling and sound design.
Tune your ear to explore another dimension of the Museum.
During this workshop, participants will:
- Explore various genres of music.
- Use GarageBand to record and sample sounds throughout the museum.
- Weave these sounds together in the studio to create a musical composition that tells a compelling story.
- Create an artwork to promote their musical masterpiece.
All necessary technical equipment will be provided, but please bring a 4GB USB for downloading your work to take home. Don't forget to pack a water bottle and your lunch.
