How many of you create a spooky, ghoulish feel at Halloween by incorporating scorpions, spiders and spider webs into your costumes?

BUT are they really spooky? Dr Mark Harvey is the Museum’s senior curator and expert in Arachnids (spiders and scorpions) and Myriapods (millipedes and centipedes) doesn’t think so! In fact, he thinks they are amazing, remarkable and the coolest creatures on the planet. He's also named over 800 species, including the Draculoides bramstokeri and Tyrannochthonius rex.

Come to the Museum to hear Mark delve into the world of these amazing and vitally important creatures. Like some species of scorpions, you may find it illuminating!
