Bandicoot sleuthing

Wednesday 3 March 2021 | 1pm - 1.30pm

Bandicoots, including the local Quenda, are an amazing group of marsupials that we still don’t know much about.

In this week’s Meet the Museum Dr Kenny Travouillon’s will highlight recent bandicoot findings and discuss what has yet to be uncovered.

Dr Kenny Travouillon

Kenny undertakes valuable work describing new species of mammals. His work sheds light on the evolution of iconic Australian species by looking at those that have long been extinct.

His work has contributed to our growing knowledge and discovery of marsupials including one such discovery which he named Crash bandicoot after the video game character.

Location: Wild Life Gallery
