Topic: Death, Decay and Fossilised Mush

How do you get the umbilical cord of an embryo in one of the earliest jawed vertebrates preserved? What about other soft parts such as muscles, eyes and brains? The fossils of the Gogo Formation in Western Australia tell us the fascinating story of when just enough decay prevents the soft parts of the animal turning to mush.

Jurassic Drag: Event information

Jurassic Drag Quiz Nights hosted by Cougar Morrison!

Image of a drag queen wearing a white and black silk top with a large curly wig.

Jurassic Drag is 45 minutes of gruelling dinosaur and dino-adjacent trivia! Brush up on your knowledge of all things pop culture (or just be completely surprised) at The Bar Before Time for this ridiculous and hilarious session.

Participation is simple. The quiz starts at 6:30pm and no pre-enrolment is required. Come along before the start time, grab a question sheet from one of our Visitor Services Officers, nab a table and follow the prompts of the MC.

Not interested in the quiz? That’s fine too. The bar and gallery will remain open for the duration of the evening for all ticket holders, so if Jurassic Drag isn’t your vibe feel free to roam the exhibition, drink in hand.

Goofy prizes will be up for grabs for quiz winners and runners-up. Also, in this technological age, we’ll be adopting a casual honesty policy to encourage all quiz participants to refrain from looking up the answers on their phones. We look forward to seeing you there, whether you’re quizzing or not!
