Kimberley Wilderness VR is a virtual reality experience created by White Spark Pictures that explores the dramatic and breathtaking landscapes of the Kimberley region.
It is a spectacular 360° documentary that flies over the edges of waterfalls and magical coastlines and venturing into the heart of this ancient landscape unlike anywhere else on Earth. Explore these stunning sights and hear from Elders about their Country and perspectives on this ancient land.
Allow minimum 35 minutes for this VR experience. Please arrive 15 minutes before your session time.

How to book your class into The Great Kimberley Wilderness VR
Your class can book into any of the daily public sessions. As there are strict capacity limits per session, you will only be able to book your class in if there is enough places available for that session. Teachers are free at a ratio of 1:6, and additional adults are able to purchase tickets, provided there are spaces available.
We offer exclusive, education only sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am during school term, and can accommodate groups up to 60 at a time.

If you wish to book online you can do so via the 'Book Now' button above, please note that you can only book up to 10 students at a time.
Add an optional Introductory talk of our temporary exhibition Spinifex People: Art and Stories from Pila Nguru
After your VR experience, deepen your understanding of Connection to Country and Native Title through an introductory talk about our temporary exhibition Spinifex People: Art and Stories from Pila Nguru. This 20-minute talk from our Learning and Engagement staff takes place outside the exhibition at either 11am or 12pm after your VR experience. The talk will provide information about the significance of the artworks in the exhibition, background for students around Native Title and delve into the exhibition highlights before students visit the exhibition themselves in a self-guided capacity.

Spend your afternoon learning about Management of Country with a facilitated program
After seeing the stunning scenery in the VR, book your year 7-9 students in for a facilitated Managing Country session in the afternoon. This program visits our permanent Changes and Origins galleries to find out how Aboriginal peoples have intentionally managed Country to create regrowth and replenishment, and explore how Aboriginal peoples are connected to Country.
