Two-day workshop | Drop and leave program
$180pp (suitable for ages 8 to 12)
Learn how to design your very own video game in this digital school holiday workshop.
In this two-day workshop you will learn the basics of game mechanics and how to design captivating characters, diabolical levels, and memorable experiences.
We will start this workshop by exploring the incredible architecture of the Museum to gain inspiration for our level designs. By rethinking the world around you as a game, you will decide how you can connect lifts, stairs, and escalators to let players experience your digital adventure.
Then, back in the Woodside Learning Studios you will begin creating your very own video game with guidance from our expert Game Wizard. You will learn the basics of video game design, including how to create challenges for your players.
After the workshop, you will leave with the skills and confidence to continue your project at home.
Participants will have their projects emailed out to them within a few days of completing the workshop.
All participants should arrive with a drink bottle and packed lunch as they would when going to school.
This is a drop-off holiday program.
Location: Woodside Learning Studios
