Turn everyday sounds into a one-of-a-kind musical mix!

With recording devices in hand, capture the intricate symphony around you—the rustling leaves, the distant echoes of footsteps, and even the quiet whispers of ancient artefacts.

Blend your sounds into an ambient music track to tell your own story, all led by talented WA singer, producer and composer Felicity Groom.

This hands-on workshop sparks creativity, builds technical skills and explores the art of storytelling through sound. Tune in to experience a whole new side of the Museum!

During this workshop, you will:

  • Explore different music genres
  • Record and sample sounds from around the museum using GarageBand
  • Compose a unique music track that tells your story
  • Design artwork to share and promote your creation.

*All required technical equipment will be provided. Please bring a 4GB USB to download and take your creation home.
