WA Museum Boola Bardip focuses on Western Australia, but did you know there are ancient Egyptian objects in the Innovations and Stan Perron WA Treasures galleries?

Dr Moya Smith will share the stories and locations of these objects.

Dr Moya Smith | Head of Anthropology and Archaeology

Moya’s research has included working as an archaeologist with Aboriginal communities in the South West and Kimberley, but she also has an ongoing interest in the archaeology of countries around the Mediterranean rim.

Despite digging in the UK and Jordan, Moya has never made it to Egypt, but working at the Western Australian Museum has presented opportunities to engage with visiting international Egyptologists, travelling exhibitions of Egyptian treasures and to unravel the stories of the Museum’s small collection of Egyptian artefacts.

Location: Woodside Learning Studios

Meet the Museum is a casual, weekly presentation where you can meet some of the Museum's scientists, historians, researchers and curators as they share their expertise and passions.

Discover fascinating stories and explore what goes on behind-the-scenes.

If you register for a tour, program or an event, general entry is included in your booking.
