A creative workshop exploring the magic of light

Step into a radiant world of colour, curiosity, and creativity in this hands-on school holiday workshop inspired by the beauty and science of light.

Through playful experiments and artistic exploration, you’ll discover how light travels, bends, reflects, and reveals colour - unlocking the secrets behind the images we see and the art we create.

Just as painters use brushes and pigment, photographers use light itself to craft their pictures - capturing fleeting moments with particles called photons. In this workshop, we’ll explore the timeless art of image-making, from ancient techniques to modern marvels, blending science and creativity in a way that feels both magical and meaningful.

What to Expect:

  • Learn how light behaves through fun experiments
  • Create unique sun prints
  • Make your own pinhole camera
  • Explore light and colour using prisms

This Drop and Leave program will light up your day!
