In this Minecraft experience, young gamers embark on a thrilling journey to the desert, navigating the vast and mysterious landscapes of the virtual world.

Explore the arid realm, and discover secret passages and tracks as you navigate your way. Experience close encounters with creatures from the desert, and traverse the odd salt lake while desperately searching for water. Will you survive?

Get ready to explore the desert like never before, where every dune and bush hides a new adventure, and every challenge brings an opportunity to test your ability to survive!

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Need to be reasonably proficient at using basic keyboard functions
  • Create a desert landscape in a Minecraft world
  • Explore the Three Journeys exhibition and take inspiration
  • Share their creation with others in the group before taking home on their USB.

It's going to be a full day of fun, so make sure to bring a water bottle and your lunch.

Please be aware that participants will be playing Minecraft on a PC, not a gaming console. Basic knowledge of using computer keyboards and mice is necessary.

Note: All necessary technical equipment will be provided. However, please bring a 4GB USB for download to take home.
