Immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture through performance and knowledge sharing. Experience a celebration of Nyoongar culture through song, dance and language, as local performers share their rich culture and history.

WA Museum Boola Bardip is on Whajduk Nyoongar boodjar. Nyoongar peoples are the Traditional Owners of the south-west boodjar (country) from Perth to the south coast of Western Australia.

Start this fascinating Aboriginal immersion with a personal local Welcome to Country followed by the Nyumbi performance (which means Celebration Dance in Nyoongar). This special cultural welcome is followed by an Aboriginal-led tour through the Museum that will explore Aboriginal objects, stories, and perspectives from across the whole of Western Australia.

Finish this extraordinary cultural immersion with a yarn and a tasting of seasonal bush tucker and learn about century old bushfood practices that have nourished and kept Aboriginal people well over thousands of years.

What's included?

  • A personalised Welcome to Perth and WA Museum Boola Bardip.
  • Aboriginal-led tour through WA Museum enriching your knowledge and appreciation of the oldest culture in the world.
  • Yam and bush tucker tasting includes a selection to take home and share with family and friends.
