Witness international composer-violinist Rupert Guenther perform a unique solo concert inspired by the eons - from the formation of geological wonders to the creation of archaeological marvels.

Created for Boola Bardip, this concert event is inspired by the ancient world and its traces: the formation of continents and oceans, meteoric beginnings of life, prehistoric fossils, ancient carvings and cave paintings, ruins of buildings, pottery fragments and inscriptions on clay tablets. These are the artefacts - the messengers - of the ancient world.

Guenther traces the diverse signs of this span of time on our planet and the forces that have shaped the planet into the temporary form we know, only one version of its endless cycles of change over billions of years.

Turning the violin into an astonishing vehicle for art, Guenther evokes through sound a journey of exploration across vast time spans of change, disruption, and reformation.

“Guenther created an Ed Sheeran-meets-Brian Cox vibe, with sinuous interweaving of melodic lines and harmonies to instill a sense of meditative wonder.”
