We know you love animating because you keep coming back, so now we’ve doubled the fun and included the addition of sound to your masterpiece!

In this workshop we’re taking a deep dive into the underwater world of the ocean. Explore its depths as you hunt for long lost treasure or become a maritime archaeologist in search for elusive shipwrecks. Perhaps undertaking some serious shark conservation work is more your thing? As they say, the world’s your oyster!

We’ll head to various galleries for inspiration before getting down to the basics of stop-animation in the Woodside Learning Studios and story boarding ideas before accessing a range of props to manipulate and film to create your stop animation masterpiece. Then we'll delve in to audio to add sound to bring it even more to life.

At the end of the day, we’ll kick back, turn off the lights and admire the creative work produced on the big screen... popcorn included!

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Visit various locations in gallery for creative inspiration
  • Use Hue software to produce their animation
  • Share their finished product before taking it home
