These school holidays, take part in a marine mammals conservation workshop for young people.
Join the River Guardians at the WA Maritime Museum for a fun and interactive session where you’ll explore how dolphins communicate, move, and survive in their river environment.
Listen to real dolphin sounds, discover how their amazing bodies help them swim, jump and catch food, and show off your best dolphin moves in a playful group game!
Using the FinBook guide, you’ll learn how to identify individual Swan River dolphins by their unique fins. Find out what threats they face and the simple actions we can all take to help keep them safe.
Finish the morning by creating and decorating your very own dolphin craft to take home.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult guardian for the duration of this workshop.
This workshop is presented by the River Guardians and Nearer To Nature through the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
