Meet some of DBCA’s Parks and Wildlife staff to get a real behind-the-scenes look at their jobs.
Are you passionate about nature and curious about what a career protecting wildlife and the environment could look like? Come along and meet some of DBCA’s Parks and Wildlife staff to get the low-down from them on working in the conservation and natural sciences sector.
In this session, you’ll hear from the River Guardians science communicator, a marine ranger, and wetland and estuarine scientist. They’ll share their stories, how they got started, and the pathways that led them to where they are today. You’ll also learn about the skills, experiences, and opportunities, like DBCA's graduate program that can help you follow a similar path.
If you love nature and want to explore future career possibilities, join us at the WA Maritime Museum ... you might just discover your dream job!

This activity is suitable for children and youth 14-25 years of age. Tickets must be purchased for participating children/youth only. The ages for each activity are in place for your children to get the most out of their activity. In most cases, these age limits are in place due to activity content, recommendations by outside providers or for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding in booking only children who are age appropriate into activities.
This workshop is presented by Nearer To Nature through the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
