Is my membership valid at all WA Museums?
The Super Fan and Friend Membership options provide access to all WA Museum locations.
The individual site-based Fan Membership, for both WA Maritime Museum and WA Museum Boola Bardip, provide access to their own respective sites only.
General admission entry is free at WA Shipwrecks Museum (Fremantle), Museum of Geraldton, Museum of the Goldfields (Kalgoorlie), and Museum of the Great Southern (Albany).
I am currently a Fan member for one location, can I become a Super Fan?
Yes. A Super Fan membership is in effect, a combination of purchasing both the Boola Bardip and Maritime Museum Fan Membership options. You only receive the special bundle price when you buy your Super Fan membership in one transaction.
If you are a Fan member and would like to become a Super Fan, purchase the alternate location Fan membership and email us at membership@museum.wa.gov.au with your membership number(s), requesting your membership to be converted to a Super Fan.
Your Super Fan renewal will be 12 months from the purchase of your second Fan membership; and you will be entitled to the discount bundle rate from your next renewal date.
I am currently a Fan or Super Fan, can I upgrade to a Friend membership?
Yes. Please email membership@museum.wa.gov.au with your current membership number and your request to upgrade to a Friend membership.
The Membership team will then be in contact to confirm your request and process the payment for the upgrade. Your Friend renewal will be 12 months from the date of upgrade.
Can I pay $10 more to move from a single location Fan membership to a Super Fan membership?
No. Unfortunately, you need to buy your Super Fan membership level in one transaction to receive the special bundle price.
However, if you want to become a Super Fan, simply purchase the alternate location Fan membership and email us at membership@museum.wa.gov.au with your membership number(s), requesting your membership to be converted to a Super Fan.
Your Super Fan renewal will be 12 months from the purchase of your second Fan membership; and you will be entitled to the discount bundle rate from your next renewal date.
Do I get a physical membership card?
All members will be provided with a digital membership card that is stored on your phone for convenience and environmental sustainability. You are able to request a physical card and collect it from the Museum, if required.
Do I get membership pack?
Friend members receive a membership pack that must be collected from the Museum.
I’m unable to use the digital membership card. How can I get an alternative?
Email us at membership@museum.wa.gov.au and we will be able to assist.
Can I pay my membership with a cheque?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept cheques as form of payment. The easiest way to purchase your membership is by credit card through our membership page. You can also pay in person using EFTPOS facilities or cash.
How do I find out when my membership will expire?
Your membership expiry will be displayed by logging into your membership account.
How do I purchase a membership as a gift?
If you would like to purchase a membership as a gift, a WA Museum Gift Voucher allows you to purchase online credit that can be redeemed for a WA Museum membership.

How can I update my personal details and contact information?
You can update your personal information by logging into your account. Alternatively, send us an email and we can do this for you.
How can I cancel my membership?
Memberships can only be cancelled in writing to membership@museum.wa.gov.au. Membership fees are non-refundable (or only by applicable consumer law). Please visit membership terms and conditions for more information.
When do you inform me of membership offers, invitations and discounts?
We send all our members frequent eNewsletters to your registered email address on your account. If you're not receiving these, please get in touch.
How can I unsubscribe from member communications?
If you no longer wish to receive communications from WA Museum, please email us at membership@museum.wa.gov.au. If you choose to unsubscribe from communications, you may miss out on membership offers and benefits.
How can I get my discounted exhibition/program tickets?
You will be able access any discounted exhibition, tour, event or program tickets through the WA Museum ticketing portal. You must be logged in before you start any transaction to see your discounts. Discounts will be applied when adding events to your booking. You can also buy tickets in person at the Museum, though availability is subject to capacity, and you may miss out on an event if you don’t book prior to arrival.
How do I identify which tours and programs I receive discount on?
Our WAM Member logo will be displayed on an event listing if the event is available only for members or has a discount available.
How can I use my discounts at the Museum shops?
If you are a member, simply show your digital or physical membership card to access your discount. Please note, you won’t be able to access the discount without your official membership card. Your membership card is valid at all WA Museum retail shops.
I’ve been gifted a membership code, how do I redeem this?
To redeem a gifted membership, please email membership@museum.wa.gov.au with your full name, email, contact number and the redemption code and we will be able to assist.
