Step into a world of creativity with claymation! Craft adjustable clay figures and bring them to life in a short animation.
Learn how to design unique characters and cinematic backgrounds for your story, and discover the magic of frame-by-frame animation.
Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this workshop is for you. Just bring your creativity, patience, and attention to detail and we'll provide the rest!
During the workshop, participants will:
- Explore the To the Moon exhibition for inspiration.
- Develop a simple storyboard to outline the key events of their claymation.
- Craft and manipulate characters and settings to bring their story to life.
- Utilise software to produce and edit their animation.
- Share their finished product with the group before taking it home.
Please note that all technical equipment required will be provided. However, we kindly ask participants to bring along a 4GB USB for downloading their work.

Drop and leave programs
Drop and leave programs enable juniors to experience the Museum independently, discover and learn something new in an area of interest and access materials and resources that would not normally be available at home. All programs are managed and monitored by our experienced Learning and Engagement staff.
