The Agora was the main public space in Ancient Greek cities. It acted as the heart of the community, where festivals were held, merchants sold their wares and people came together to socialise.
Celebrate our current exhibition Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors and Heroes* with the family at WA Museum – see our Museum City Room transform into an Agora of making, music and merriment for a day!
There be plenty of free activities throughout the day including;
- Traditional theatre mask-making
- Pottery decorating
- Wreath weaving
- Chariot rides
Plus, enjoy classic Greek snacks (such as spanakopita, cashew baklava, dolmades, wraps and skewers cooked live in front of you) and cool drinks before exploring the Ancient Greeks* exhibition where you will experience some of the most incredible treasures of Ancient Greece to ever visit our shores.
*Fees apply. Bookings are essential.
