The Ancient Greek Gods are running amok at the Museum! Learn how to design your very own video game in this digital school holiday workshop.

In this two-day workshop, you will learn the basics of video game mechanics and how to design captivating characters, diabolical levels, and memorable experiences.

We will start this workshop by exploring the Museum's latest exhibition Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors and Heroes. There we will be inspired by epic Ancient Greek tales of monsters, myths and magic.

Then, back in the Woodside Learning Studios, you will begin creating your very own Ancient Greek themed video game with guidance from our expert Game Wizard. You will learn the basics of video game design, including how to create challenges for your players.

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Explore the Museum's latest exhibition Ancient Greeks: Athletes, Warriors and Heroes.
  • Learn the basics of using Unity software.
  • Design their own Ancient Greeks game set inside the Museum.

After the workshop, you will leave with the skills and confidence to continue your project at home.

Note: This is a drop-off holiday program. All participants should arrive with a drink bottle and packed lunch as they would when going to school.

If you register for a tour, program or event, general entry is included in your booking.
