Bring out your inner rockstar with the power of engineering! Learn about circuitry and coding and use these skills to make a musical instrument.
Using recycled materials, circuit boards and scratch coding, you will design and build a musical instrument. Next, you'll program its musical notes on a laptop and connect the two with a makey-makey circuit board and some home-made electric circuits.
During this program, participants will:
- Use Scratch coding;
- Apply engineering and design skills;
- Investigate circuits and how to make them work;
- Bring all these skills together to make an electronic musical instrument to hold and play!
It’s going to be a full day of fun! Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and your lunch.
