Sealing wrecks of the south-coast
It must have been an incredibly tough life on the islands off the south-coast of WA in the early nineteenth century.
There were some rogues and dodgy characters amongst the inhabitants who were involved in the sealing industry which had spread west after colonies were decimated off the southern, south east and tasmanian coasts.
