Bring your wildest ideas to life with stop-motion animation! 

Curious about animation? This hands-on workshop is the perfect school holiday activity. Using clay, you'll create your own characters, develop your story, and produce your very own short film, while learning the basics of stop-motion animation. It’s a fun blend of art and technology, ideal for curious and creative minds.

What to expect

  • Explore the Museum's galleries for inspiration
  • Sketch your story with a simple storyboard
  • Build and animate clay characters and scenes
  • Create and edit your film using animation software
  • Share your finished masterpiece with the group before taking it home

Whether it’s your first time animating, or you just love making things, this workshop is perfect for every young artist with a creative spark. 

Bring your imagination, patience, and attention to detail. We’ll provide everything else!

All required materials and technical equipment will be provided.

Drop and Leave Holiday Programs

Drop and leave programs enable children and young people to experience the Museum independently, discover and learn something new in an area of interest and access materials and resources that would not normally be available at home. All programs are managed and monitored by our experienced Learning and Engagement staff.
